Dr Tony Ho qualified as a doctor two and a half decades ago from the National University of Singapore. Being nimble with his hands and fascinated with how the human eye works, Dr Ho aspired to be an eye surgeon. He subsequently qualified as an ophthalmologist after specialist training in Singapore, the United Kingdom, and the United States.

Dr Ho obtained the Fellowship diplomas from the Royal College of Surgeons (Glasgow) and the Royal College of Ophthalmology in London. In addition, Dr Ho underwent sub-specialty training in the renowned Bascom Palmer Eye Institute and the Jackson Memorial Hospital and was awarded certifications in Medical Retina and Vitreo-retinal Diseases & Surgery by the School of Medicine, University of Miami in Florida.

Dr Ho has had a keen interest Laser Refractive Surgery since its advent over a decade ago. He then decided to develop on this keen interest by opening one of the first dedicated LASIK centre in 2001. Having performed LASIK for thousands of eyes, in 2004, Dr Ho started switching his focus to Epi-LASIK as his procedure of choice, as it is a safer and less risky procedure without the need to excessively weaken the cornea structure. Dr Ho has since performed thousands of LASIK and Epi-LASIK procedures to improve his patient’s eyesight.

Dr Ho practices at Eye Care Clinic in the Mount Elizabeth Medical Centre. He sees patients from all walks of life, and strives to provide the best care and treatment for their eye conditions and ailments. Dr Ho is a Fellow of the Academy of Medicine in Singapore. His other clinical interests include childhood myopia control using weekly Atropine eye drops, multi-focal lens implantation for the treatment of cataracts and presbyopia and Vitreo-retina diseases.
